Class 7: Listening and Movement
March 1, 2024

Readings:
—Rogers, S., Chapter 11 (Listening), The Mindful Law Student (2022).
—Rogers, S., Chapter 9 (Movement), The Mindful Law Student (2022).

Written Assignment:
After reading Chapter 11 on Listening, write a 1-page reflection that explores at least two "aspirations" you took away from the chapter to try to integrate into your communications with others. Be sure to include why you think you don't already do so, and why you think doing so would be of benefit.

PMP-P-Plus: Continue to practice the PMP when you arrive at your PMP Point. Add to it the movement aspect that carries forward the breathing/count into the next series of steps you take.

But-For-Pause Practice: Practice DNI (Do Not Interrupt) each day, as you remember to do so. One day this week (helpful if you select that day in advance), practice for the entire day.

The Spiral
You likely will have several "Spiral" moments this week. After one of them, diagram it on the Spiral form you were given in class, and bring with you to class.

Indoor Formal Practice
Select one of the 3 primary practices you have learned—FA, BS, or OM, and practice it (exclusively) each day this week for 6, 12, or 18 minutes—whichever you choose. Journal observations of your "direct experience" in short bullets.

Outdoor Formal Practice
At least one day this week, go outside (or, if you prefer practice inside by a window looking out) and practice the SoBe Mindful Movement practice. First watch this 5-minute video demonstration to help you remember.

Creative: Your Snow Globe
In class you began working on your Snow Globe. This week, complete the Snow Globe—bringing into it what you observe and notice being a part of your Snow Globe at this time in your life.
